Today we rolled out a refreshed search experience across DevWave.com, and we wanted to share a quick look at what's new. It's a small change on the surface, but one we think makes a real difference every time you use the site.
A Cleaner, More Focused Look
When you open search now, you'll notice a whole new look — a clean, full-screen view with a soft blurred background that keeps your attention on the results, not the clutter behind them. It feels more modern and makes it easier to focus on finding exactly what you're looking for, whether that's an app, a help guide, a legal page, or a news article.
This new design now works the same way on both phones and computers, so the experience feels consistent no matter what device you're using.
Search Now Covers the Whole Site
We also expanded what search can actually find. It now reaches across our entire site — every app, every guide, every article, and every page — so you're far more likely to find what you need on the first try.
Smoother, More Reliable Browsing
Along with the new look, we polished a handful of small but important details:
- The page behind search no longer scrolls by accident while you're browsing results, so your place stays put.
- The search bar now stays in place at the top while you scroll through results, making it quick to adjust your search at any time.
- We fixed a bug where the close button on the computer version of search wasn't responding properly.
- The search icon on computers no longer does an unnecessary little animation — it now simply opens search right away.
Small UI Changes Elsewhere
We also tidied up a few other things around the site today, including quicker "View" buttons on featured app cards in our carousels, clearer "Coming Soon" labeling for upcoming apps, and cleaner heading styles on our documentation pages.
