Today, PodScout is available on the App Store. It's a podcast app we've been building with a single focus: helping you find podcasts you actually want to hear — and making the experience of listening to them feel calm, organized, and personal.
Why We Built It
Podcast discovery has always felt harder than it should be. Most apps are built around what's popular, not around what you'd actually enjoy. We wanted to build something different — an app that learns your taste and surfaces shows you'd genuinely want to follow, not just whatever is trending.
PodScout is the result of that thinking. It's not trying to do everything. It's focused on doing a few things really well: helping you discover podcasts, keeping your library organized, and giving you flexible, comfortable playback controls.

Personalized Home
Your Home tab is built around you. PodScout surfaces personalized picks based on your listening history and the categories you care about, alongside New Shows and curated suggestions that update regularly. It's a starting point that gets more useful the more you use it.
Top Shows & Discovery
Browse the top shows across every category — from True Crime and Comedy to Science and Wellness. PodScout surfaces what's popular and what's rising, so you always have somewhere to start when you're looking for something new.
Your Library
Everything you follow and save lives in your Library. Continue Listening picks up right where you left off, Saved Episodes keeps your queue organized, and your Followed Podcasts are always a tap away. It's built to feel like a home base, not a to-do list.
Powerful Playback
The player gives you the controls that actually matter: variable speed, skip-back and skip-forward, a scrubber for jumping around episodes, and a volume slider. It stays out of your way and lets you listen the way you want to.
Podcast Details
Every podcast page shows you categories, tags, and availability — including whether it's on PodScout, Apple Podcasts, or the web. PodScout also surfaces a short explanation of why it surfaced a particular podcast for you, so the recommendation feels transparent, not algorithmic.
Search
Browse by category or search across shows, hosts, and topics. Results are filtered cleanly between all shows and your library, so you can find something new or jump back to something you already follow.
Design
PodScout is designed to feel quiet. The interface uses soft backgrounds, clean typography, and purple accents that keep things visually consistent without being loud. Whether you're browsing on the Home tab or deep in an episode list, the app stays out of the way of the content.
Available Now
PodScout 1.0 is available now on the App Store. It's free to download. We'll be continuing to improve it based on how people actually use it — if you have feedback, we'd love to hear it through the app.
